This episode alone is a big evidence towards Gon's unhinged and insane mentality. I don't think I even need to explain it because Genthru actually said all of it himself. Gon's insane and no sane person would do what he just did. For the sake of testing his selfish idea, he WILLINGLY SACRIFICED HIS ARM.

the first Bomber guy they healed because they already planned to use the cards on everyone, order didn't matter since this dude was dying. for the third card before Koreinu gave it to them, Killua agreed to just heal on his own since his injuries aren't that fatal, and Genthru probably had fatal injuries as well

not that I agree they should be kept alive though lol. they are cold-blooded mass murderers who kill for fun, Killua's reasoning makes no sense as his assassinations are a paid job, still murder, but it wasn't for fun and the guys he killed were probably gonna die anyways if he turned down the job and they hired another assassin instead. so it's not as bad as killing so many people because you want to, they could even let them live after taking their cards but they killed them anyways out of sadistic pleasure.

Many people are pointing out how gon sacrificing his arm to get one hit in was insane. However, he knew that he was going to get his arm back anyway. What's the insanity in trying something out despite the short-term pain?

For me the insanity was him straining to say "First comes rock, then scissors and paper" while unleashing his attacks even with his windpipe crushed.
